What is Alt.Net Sweden / Copenhagen? Sweden /Copenhagen Alt.Net is a community for .Net developers in Sweden and Copenhagen to meet, on the Internet as well as in the real world, and learn from each other. We want to pursue innovative ways of interaction, such as open spaces meetings and coding dojos, and strongly encourage everyone interested to show up with an open mind and spirit and join the fun!
As proponents of Alt.Net we believe in continuous improvement, and the only way to achieve this is through constant learning. We also believe that the best way to learn is not through passive observation but rather through active participation.
Alt.Net is not about opposing Microsoft; it is about realizing that learning must come from multiple sources, and not only MSDN. The same goes for tools. If you’re only using the tools provided by Microsoft in your daily work, you’re missing out. In Alt.Net we want to accommodate discussions of how to do things better. How can we optimize our processes (e.g. agile), how can we optimize our code (e.g. frameworks, patterns) and what tools help us do all this. We want to hear what experiences you’ve had, and we want to share our own.
We know there are a lot of skilled .Net developers in Sweden / Copenhagen, and we want to reach out to all of you. Crossing the Oresund Bridge may seem like a long trip, but it’s not, and we’re confident that you will find the investment of your time paid back plentiful.
